- Agenda review
- Review notes from 20171114_US_Realm_SC_Call
- Review Items:
- PSS for BRR
- Ballot Content in SVN
- The PSS has not been approved by the U.S. Realm Steering Committee(USRSC), which is required since the content is U.S. Realm, and no non-us implementers have been listed.
- The PSS is marked Informative/STU to normative( Section 1) but there is no evidence of a current STU or informative document, nor of any implementors.
- The following issues will be addressed by the ARB at 4:00 Eastern today:
- The ARB has not approved the external content:
- ARB cannot review until it is in format for ballot submission and recommend that the publishing facilitator contact publishing for the requirements. Screen shots provided are not evidence. |ARB Minutes 20171128NOTE Updated content in ballot format has been provided.
- The Link in 3.i Project Document Repository Location is not on an HL7 Managed web site as required by the TSC.
- The following issues will be addressed by the steering divisions or TSC:
- While the Work Group has approved the PSS, there is no evidence that the Work Group has reviewed the content submitted for ballot.
- The content provided included schemas, which by definition should cause 3.c.Security Risks to be marked as Yes, not Unknown, unless the procedure documented in the PSS Cookbook for Security Considerations has been followed.
- Ballot Content in SVN
- PSS for HL7 EHR-System Electronic Nutrition Care Process Record System (ENCPRS) Functional Profile, Release 2
- PSS for BRR

- Boris Brodsky here to present. Lorraine representing ARB. ARB did not have the publication material for their review but received it this afternoon. 100% of the content was developed outside HL7, which is unusual. Vada Perkins notes that the content for their WG us usually external. Ed notes that it should still be reviewed in the WG. Vada states that it is; this project's material was developed by the FDA. Lorraine: Other groups do this as well; ARB reviews the content to make sure that we've done the correct HL7 review processes as it goes forward. Other issue is the project document repository needs to be moved to a location managed by HL7. Timelines are getting short to do a real review. Was marked Universal but there is no evidence of international participation. May affect international organizations but there is not international participation in development of content. Previous versions have been universal so this is a gray area. Austin: How much of an incremental increase in scope is this from the prior release? Catherine states it is 1-2%. There is also a new CMET. Discussion over publishing this version as a US Realm update to the previous universal releases.
- MOTION to approve as US Realm: Lorraine/Austin
- VOTE: All in favor

- Ballot Content in SVN
- PSS for HL7 EHR-System Electronic Nutrition Care Process Record System (ENCPRS) Functional Profile, Release 2
- Lindsey Hoggle presents the project. Would eventually like the project to be universal. Ed states that the way to do that is to get an international organization to participate in the development. Can approach the international council to get interest.
- MOTION to approve the change of the spec from US Realm to Universal: Lorraine/Sandy
- Question about timelines: plan to ballot normative in 2018 with publication in October.
- VOTE: All in favor.
