Introduction
The 2014 September Clinician Connectathon provided a large amount of valuable feedbacks that result in significant improvements to the follow-up event in November 2014 in Melbourne, Australia. Participants at both events agreed that it is a valuable event that:
- Effectively improves communications and understandings between the FHIR technical and clinician communities
- Is a source of extremely useful inputs for improvement of FHIR resources and tooling
It is planned that the Clinician Connectathon will be a continuing event at each HL7 International WGM until such a time that it is determined that the event is no longer necessary
Participants
The FHIR clinician connectathon target participants are those with clinical backgrounds:
- Physicians (including specialist physicians, pathologist, radiologist ...)
- Dentists
- Nurses (including nurse specialist, nurse practitioner ...)
- Pharmacists
- Physiotherapist
- Other allied health practitioners, e.g. occupational therapist
