• Discuss Modeling Initiatives with respect to upcoming HL7 WGM in Orlando.
• CIMI Coordination Steps

QI Core Modeling Efforts:

• Currently building a prototypical CIMI model authoring environment that uses ADL as the import/export language
• Currently working on a way to use CQL to write an expression to transform from ADL to a FHIR StructureDefinition
• Hope to present progress on both these fronts at the Model Mapping Birds of a Feather in Orlando

CIMI Initiative Efforts

• Working on understanding the "effective" logical model represented by QI-Core and aligning/harmonizing that logical model with CIMI
• Need to understand whether or not non-clinical artifacts are part of CIMI scope (such as knowledge artifacts)

CIMI Discussion

• Goal of CIMI is to be able to make computable logical clinical models that can be used in many different contexts.
  • Names are part of the model
  • Terminology bindings are very explicit
• Using these models plus mappings to enable transformation between models
• Based on the recognition that there is no "one-size-fits-all" model
• Goal for the HL7 WGM is to engage with any work groups where information modeling is happening and CIMI can potentially add value. Also seeking to get expert clinical review of CIMI clinical content
