• Anna reviews a PSS on "Analysis for Harmonized EU-US Patient Summary Exchange" and sponsored by SDWG they intent to take it to ISO ballot according to Doug's direction yesterday. Feik is on speakerphone. They would be looking at a September ballot cycle.
  • JohnQ asks if we have the EPSOS requirements? Marc will send them to John.
  • Trillium Bridge project with Catherine Chronaki. ONC S&I Framework and EU MOU driving this. Recommendations for discussion with Lisa Spellman of ISO TC 215, and Robert Stegwee.
  • Feik is willing to put himself as project facilitator.
  • Of the four objectives for the ONC effort this encapsulates only one of them for the analysis.
  • The timing may be a DSTU ballot first in HL7 and then with the ISO updates from Committee Draft to go normative. DSTU period would be used for reconciliation and the 5 months of the ISO ballot. JohnQ suggests first draft ballot for comment only and then go straight to normative. Woody adds that ISO typically votes on NWIP in May of each year, and for it to be approved takes at least 60 days after which they have their 5 month ballot, then wait for an ISO meeting (held twice a year) to conduct reconciliation. Woody reports a reasonable expectation is two years. However you might be able to approve it in ISO as a DIS if it's already a DSTU in HL7. However a draft for comment cannot be cited in US Regulation. ISO meets April in Tokyo, and typically has a meeting in the April/May timeframe. The publishing/voting calendar is then reviewed.
  • DSTU implementer(s) would be Trillium Bridge.
