Agenda
Administrivia
- Agenda review
- Review notes from 20141202_US_Realm_TF_Call
- Action Items
- Ken to contact John Quinn to take the issue of USRTF realm-level authority to the EC
- Lorraine to communicate that the USRTF is seeking confirmation that USRTF has realm-level authority
- Paul to get clarification from FMG on the context of the extensions request
Discussion:
- For USRTF review: Project Approval Request for Bipolar and Generalized Anxiety Disorder Domain Model at Project Insight 1144 and TSC Tracker 3764
Minutes
- Minutes from 12/2/2014 accepted with no changes
- Maryam Younes here to discuss Project approval request for Bipolar and Generalized Anxiety Disorder Domain Model. She described the project and its timelines to USRTF members. Informative ballot type. Paul: is there any international participation? Maryam responds that yes, there are international participants that review the data elements; Maryam states that she believes it is US-realm specific. Austin’s concern was references to DSM IV and V and copyrights; not an issue because they are simply using it as code sets. Paul asks about licensing requirements; Maryam will check. Ken wonders if HL7 would manage this new standard? Maryam states that HL7 would be responsible. Ken: so we’re creating a new domain model…this is not a new standard, it’s using existing HL7 functionality. Lorraine: there are a lot of these coming from CIC – it’s a model for exploration of the space. Discussion on whether it is a product. Does it create a new standard? Their goal is to create a DAM that helps people better understand the mental health issues, and sometime in the future they may create messages to support those things. May want to review the ARB document on what is required in a DAM. Advisements: we are suggesting this is not a new standard (uncheck box); backward compatability should be n/a; there is not a copyright issue; this project can move forward as is to CIC for review. PSS approval; Paul moves, Calvin seconds. Suggestion to reach out to RCRIM to see if they want to co-sponsor. Lorraine encourages Maryam to reach out to ARB as well if needed. No negatives or abstentions.
- Realm-level authority issue: Ken contacted John Q.; and Chuck invited Ken to EC on 12/29 to present the issue. Ken will write up the description of the issue and submit that and any other materials to Karen in advance. Lorraine discussed with FGB. Paul will raise with FMG tomorrow and give Ken feedback on the 16th.
- Agreement to cancel 12/23 and 12/30 USRTF calls; if anyone has a topic for discussion that necessitates a call, email Ken, Ed, or John.
- Call adjourned at 1:40
