HL7 Tooling Work Group.
The mission of the Tooling Work Group is to oversee the tools that facilitate the development, adoption and use of HL7 standards, according to the requirements of the HL7 Board and membership needs.

Toolsmith Ribbon Recipients
The Tooling Work Group would like to recognize the volunteer efforts of people who have worked on tools used by HL7 and it`s members to design, publish and then adopt HL7 specifications. The tools are available either on HL7`s Gforge site or as Open Health Tool projects. Please notify the co-chairs if you become aware of other volunteers and their tools. Toolsmith ribbons are being included in Working Group packets to increase awareness and recognition for their efforts.

- The HL7 Project Homebase on GForge is a project tracking site which allows management of HL7 tools including bug tracking, feature requests and publication of releases. The current installation of the HL7 GForge/SVN platform is hosted by the GForge Group, LLC. The HL7 GForge site is intended to:
- Serve as a central resource point for publishing, downloading, maintenance and support of non-commercial HL7 tools.
- Provide a tool for other HL7 Work Group to manage project artifacts.
- Simplify and coordinate the tooling and other committee maintenance processes by providing standardized mechanisms for requesting features, reporting defects and requesting support.
- Support HL7 tool users in reporting issues with tools and tracking their resolution.
