Approve Minutes of previous meeting September 15
- Motion: Accept GWB/RS unanimous
SPL WG letter to ITS WG
- AS talked about the content of the letter sent to the ITS co-chairs that requested that ITS datatypes R1 not be deprecated. He also wondered if this meant only for existing standards or for use in new standards being balloted. If this was to include new standards, AS thought this may (would) have publishing and tooling implications and asked for open discussion and comment.
- The general consensus was that this issue is not primarily for ITS but should be looked at by MnM, TSC, and FTSD. AS stated that Paul Knapp (ITS co-chair) would be raising this item at the FTSD meeting in Cambridge.
- It needs to be clarified if the continued use of the ITS Datatypes R1 would be applied to new standards being balloted.
- GWB stated that it may be feasible to support both datatype versions within the current publishing tools.
Notes from Don Lloyd (GWB took over as chair)
- A reminder the next cycle is very short
  - Oct 17 is CBC deadline
  - Oct 21 is NIB deadline
  - Oct 31 is initial content
- New MIF Publishing
  - DL has prepared a template file for hand-crafted (i.e. not generated from PubXML) MIF documents. The RIM ballot is an example of a document prepared by hand.
