Reaffirm V3 Med Rec Data Access Consent - or not? email string

  • (Data Consent) Messaging Standing completed five years ago
  • the known implementers are in Canada, fizzled in the US (no known interest)
  • does not have a good requirements analysis behind it
  • Wendy Huang is researching per Ioana's request
  • let Don Lloyd know of committee decision

MOTION: to NOT reaffirm the standard unless there is an explicit request from Canada (i.e. stakeholder interest/request to continue) (Ioana/Jim) Discussion: None Opposed: none / Abstain: none / Pass: 11

ACTION: Ioana will follow up with Don Lloyd on committee decision

Schizophrenia DAM Model, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) Domain Analysis Model (DAM) - Lori

  • developed by CIC WG (project initiated/sponsored by CMS)
  • does CBCC want to collaborate and promote our involvement with Behavior Health?
  • concern expressed on knowledge of BH model developed in CBCC... possibility to combine the two DAMs?
    • is there something specific that would indicate keeping the two models separate?
    • per Lori Simon - medication, other treaments, (supporting data elements ) this content which will differentiate one illness from another

Suggestions:

  • reach out to CIC we are interested in collaboration
  • add keys to the quantifiable outcome; add to BH DAM... explicit <<27:00>>
  • joint meeting between CBCC and CIC in January?
    • who wrote the Schizophrenia DAM? what is the focus?

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) DAM, Informational ballot/September 2013 - noted by Steve Daviss / shown by Steve Eichner ACTION ITEM: Lori Simon to contact Anita Walden (CIC Co-chair), cc'ing Richard & Suzanne (anita.walden@duke.edu)

    • interest in understanding the tools.
    • Incorporating EHR vendors?
    • add link to Project Scope Statement or document:

Document review (brief)

  • looks to be primarily for clinical trial use / narrow focus
  • lots of information that CBCC could mine from the DAM

There is definite overlap between BH and MDD, but have enumerated, identified user stories defining specific user stores (detailed), story boards--how model is applied in different scenarios

  • looks to be done during the same time / unsure of why this is done (different funding sources?)

ACTION ITEM:

SAMHSA does not get involvevd primarily with MD folk but more on th eline of lower cost medical care---please look at this with the lower income folk and their treatment.

Wende, Mike Ladariere - promised Richard a process document / gap analysis; looking to adoption errors which would contribuete to the body of work; (smaler docoument) tere have been concerns epressed where there might be barriers to adoption which may be of interest to SAMHSA/Richard; wthey are following up on one more elemnt, before their next meeting--focus on what is going on to the group before meeting with vendors again. would like to add this to next agenda

Extending of the BH DAM - criminal justice, schools, homeless, pregnant post-partum women, (discretionary grant) please weigh in on comments; need domain experts in this area. inviting home health where they are integrating communit health and what they should be sharing..what people need to know across these provider area (people, provider). Brian and Lori will be able to assist

Tracking of CMS grant - missouri have assets on the xx populations (Wende will forward Richard the information) may assist with cross-intervention.
