18 October Templates Call Minutes
Attendees: Brett Esler, Galen Mulrooney, Mark Shafarman
- Publication/ballot status. We reviewed briefly the documents sent out earlier today.
- the Ballot Document Request for Information is due this coming Sunday. Brett will do the first draft, and send it to Mark for review. Mark will send it out to the group tomorrow. Edits/corrections/changes are due back to Mark on Friday (US). Mark will send it in to HL7 at COB Friday (US).
- Bret will contact Grahame for the status of the DSTU draft, which is due the following Sunday (first content: see PDF ballot schedule sent out earlier today). We will coordinate work as needed, via email and a conference call next week (same day and time), on the unfinished bits of the first DSTU draft so that we can make the due date. Galen has a colleague (Jeri Jones) who knows the current publication formats etc, and she will explain them to him so that he can share them with the rest of the group early next week.
- Mark will add the needed weekly concalls (same time and day of week) on the HL7 concall site, as we will need to coordinate weekly through the duration until the ballot opens.
- Mark briefly discussed the progress Grahame has made on the "XML-UML" ITS (including datatypes) (now called "XUM") and the prototype ability to use the ADL constraint editor against MIF model specifications. This also provides an ability to go from such constrained MIF specifications to openEHR archetypes. However mapping in the other direction requires addition of v3 structural information. Mark suggested that Galen provide Grahame with the VHA's experience using UML "tagged values" to provide this type of functionality.
Next concall is next week, same day and time.
