  • Motion to accept as proposed. Andrzej Knafel, Ken McCaslin
    • There are concerns with NTEs promoting unstructured data.
    • There are benefits that NTEs clearly indicate unstructured data, while OBX requires at least a status and it is difficult to distinguish a “comment OBX” from a “regular OBX”.
    • Do we need NTEs in ACK messages?
      • There are no concrete examples to support that.
      • If ACK is ONLY echo back (except filler order number upon initial application acknowledgement) then don’t need the NTE
    • Amend to remove NTE from the Acknowledgement messages. Accepted as amendment amended.
    • Against: 1; Abstain: 3; In Favor: 12
