Issue

For OBR-13: 1. Add note to comment column: We pre-adopted the CWE datatype for this field from HL7 v2.7.1 as well as the value set. 2. HL70916 table is referenced in v2.7 as the value set to cover fasting status; LRI guide pre-adopts use of CWE for OBR-13, but did not list HL70916 as the value set, nor does it include the table: Need to add HL70916 to the OBR segment table (section 3.1.10) In review of the values of this table in v2.7 chapter 2C the vocab group noticed that description of NG code currently describes the same concept as FNA - suggest to change the description for NG code to: Not given - patient was asked about fasting status prior to the procedure We will also be adding a CR for v2.9 as well as submitting a comment during ballot of v2.8.

Resolution

• Motion to include clarification that CWE is pre-adopted from V2.7.1; Clarify that this can only contain values that were originated on the original order; At this point, we have only considered HL70916; Add the full description of the table including the updated definition for NG.
