• Public Health electronic Case Reporting (eCR) and Public Health Reporting Activities (John Loonsk)
  
  • State and local agencies are looking to automate the process of reporting to them and sending the acknowledgement back.
  • This requirement did not make it into Meaningful Use. There are other activities to implement the automated reporting.
  • Some EHR vendors have been supportive and implemented in CDA, others have informed them that they will wait for a FHIR specification.
  • Would like to be able to distributed the public health rules, not just receive the data.
  • They are looking to identify the different areas where harmonization may occur with clinical measures and registries.
    • Both eCR and quality measures are using conditions and there may be harmonization ability in this area.
  • CQI is invited to attend the Tue Q5 meeting "Birds of a Feather - Reporting with FHIR" (room: Annapolis).
  • John Loonsk has agreed to provide a fuller presentation on one of CQI's Friday call to further discuss the entire project.

• QRDA Category I (STU 5.1) Update
  
  • Plan is to make STU 5.1 available this month to allow a 2 week member review period and to follow the STU update process
  • Main changes include support for QDM 5.4, address STU comments that are persuasive, and to update the mapping tables
    • QDM 5.4 changes include the addition of "Assessment, Order", "Communication, Performed", and a number of attributes will be added to existing templates. In addition, some items are being removed.
    • Updates to "UTC Time-Zone Offset"
    • Add a new Attachment that will include the XPath to address the location of each elements in each template.

• Category III Discussion
  
  • Release 1, STU Release 2.1 is expiring 12/28/2018.
  • Discussion occurred and CQI thinks requesting a STU update would be better than going back to ballot.

• Note: Floyd attended OO meeting for the Procedure/Task Discussion - see OO's meeting minutes for discussion and resolution
