Agenda and Minutes of 10/5

LM/AK Unanimous

Approval of "Proposal to Publish" for RIM Release 4, and Core Principles, Release 1

Beeler noted that both documents had completed reconciliation; RIM editing was completed last summer; Core Principles editing would be complete in a matter of hours.

Motion to approve: LM/RH Unanimous

Harmonization Proposal Endorsement

Lloyd requested MNM endorsement on five harmonization proposals that he had drawn up on MnM's behalf.

Motion to endorse: LM/AK Unanimous

Beeler asked MnM Endorsement on proposed rules for when and how to remove RIM and RIM-vocabulary elements that had been previously deprecated in Harmonization. The proposal involves a period of three years during which the elements are deprecated followed by a formal proposal to Harmonization for their removal. Beeler also listed the items that should be removed in the forthcoming Harmonization Meeting based on these rules.

Motion to Endorse: AK/RH Unanimous.

PSS on "Risk Assessment and Governance for SAIF Architecture Program"

Kreisler presented a draft Project scope statement as noted above. The proposed project is a TSC sponsored project, and the results will both affect and be included in the HL7 SAIF Implementation Guide for which MnM is the project lead.

After discussion, MnM asked that it be listed as an "Interested Party" and looks forwards to interacting with this project.

Submission of RIM R4 to ISO

Beeler noted that RIM Release 4 (the most recent) has been submitted to ISO for consideration under the HL7-ISO Pilot Project for fast-track approval. An HTML draft for that submission has been sent to the ISO TC 215 Secretariat.
