Meeting Minutes

Data Provenance Update

  • On June 12, the Structured Documents Working Group (SDWG) passed the motion to co-sponsor the Data Provenance project.
  • On June 16, the TSC (Technical Steering Committee) passed the motion to approve the PSS for Data Provenance on the condition that CBCC consider the SDWG as a co-sponsor.
  • Johnathan proposed (prior to today’s CBCC WG meeting, for which he was not present) that the CBCC WG consider inviting the SDWG to co-sponsor the PSS for Data Provenance, but also to consider inviting the Security WG to co-sponsor at a later time when the work requires it.
  • The TSC affirmed that no additional steering division approvals are required.
  • The PSS for Data Provenance was updated to reflect the changes (see attached - changes highlighted in yellow. Suzanne to upload to gForge).
  • By Sunday, June 22, the PSS needs to be submitted to the TSC with intent to ballot.
  • The Data Provenance Tiger Team is trying to fill out the front matter of the IG on the use of CDA structures to specify the provenance. It is conducting outreach for use cases with the identified stakeholders. No use cases have been approved to date.
  • Ioana gave a presentation on New York’s process on CCDA with Data Provenance confirming the need for tracking human authors rather than the software that consolidates the CCDA documents. New York is identifying the “software” as the “author.”
  • Ioana made the motion to accept the changes and forward the PSS to the TSC for its approval. Neelima seconded the motion, which passed with 9 affirmatives, 0 objections and 0 abstentions.

Project Scope Statement - Patient friendly Natural Language

  • Suzanne will need to follow up with the Domain Experts Steering Division (DESD) co-chair, Melva Peters, on its current status. The PSS was approved at the Phoenix WGM in May and should have already been approved by the TSC. It is being processed as an e-Vote through the DESD before moving forward to the TSC.

Vendor Meeting Update - Wende

  • Wende said that they are requesting input about the slides scheduled to be presented at the APA vendor meeting. A walk-through is scheduled for June 25.

Meeting adjourned at 10:58 PDT
