Agenda

  • Roll-call
  • Review past two meetings notes for consensus
  • Additional scope consent work status.
    • Advance Care Directives: Consent to instructions for potentially needed medical treatment (e.g. DNR).

Minutes

Roll Call Discussion revolved around the use of the Consent resource and how to manage legal application of the Consent resource with emphasis on managing the signature aspect. Possible options on managing that included:

  • The Provenance resource signature. However, that would require working out the issues that the Provenance resource has that have been identified by Security
  • Consent.Source attachment or reference to:
    • CDA Consent
    • Scanned image of the wet signed document
    • Docusign or other for of electronic/computable signature.
  • It was suggested that Robert (Bob) Dieterle should be consulted as part of the process

Additional discussion was seen as verifying that the Consent resource not be limited to document discovery as the DocumentReference resource can easily manage that role

Additional discussion will be brought to the PC and RCRIC/BRIDG groups to see if the additional work being done to cover the other scopes is still necessary.
