Back to EMS Projects
Dial-in 770-657-9270, Participant Code: 283404
Attendees
- Jay Lyle, project manager, Ockham Information Services
- Clay Mann, NEMSIS
- Troy Whipple, ImageTrend
- Leah Swanson, ImageTrend
- Dave Saylor, Beyond Lucid
Agenda
- Open questions
Minutes
- Note: we're using the HL7 phone number in the interest of being open; we're using our GoToMeeting because HL7 doesn't provide it. We'll exclude the GTM dial-in next time to reduce confusion.
- Revisions to be published by next meeting
- Next meeting to be 11/29, not 11/22 (which is Thanksgiving)
- Scope: probably will expand scope to NEMSIS dataset
- Tentative Strategy: include all elements optionally, and then create (optional) sub-specifications requiring or recommending specific sections or statements
- Keep current scope for initial implementation & project scope; retro-fit this spec to be a child of the next one
- Jay to present comparison of CCD statement with EMS statement for consideration
- Does it make sense to conform to CCD statements or sections for re-use, even if it means including a lot of fields we know we'll always null for EMS?
- Question: if we ask SNOMED for an extension (our own coding namespace), should we ask for one distinct from Trauma (as they are distinct) or ask for a 'super-domain' (because there's a lot of overlap)?
- Answer (per Clay): they need to be different
