SAP Germany noted that they don’t have a use case for the claim, instead desire to use an Invoice instead.
Would like to prepare a draft of this resource.
Cooper noted that Epic (and likely other US vendors) are going to be using X12
In Germany the claiming is done using other standards, hence not considering the FHIR claim.
Simone would like to see the invoice drafted this year, and would permit the filling out of the financial workflow outside of insurance claims
SAP is now doing a lot of FHIR activities, and are interested in the FHIR Messaging use cases, and better contribute to defining the message formats for some PA resources, using the Operations Framework
Have also been reviewing the Account and ChargeItem resources, no changes noted as yet, and have recorded some trackers for Encounter
Australian provider directory profiling is progressing, with nothing of significance to report as yet.

Cooper would like to consider inclusion of discussing patient gender identity in the Patient resource at a quarter in the September WGM

Discussion focused on the consideration of a new standard extension on patient to cover the patient preferred gender identity
Tracker 13702 was discussed to introduce a new status of waiting, it was noted that the arrived and triaged statuses are both forms of waiting, and this would be another variant like that. Drew and Cooper noted that the internal workflows they typically see don’t include this, nor would they expect staff to “flick the switch” that they are waiting again.
The existing triaged status doesn’t record the length of time that the triage process might take.
No outcome was reached.
