Agenda

Administrivia

Discussion:

  • ONC interoperability proving ground and how ONC will engage at upcoming HL7 meetings.
  • Review of any outstanding issues

Minutes

  • Called to order at 1:03 pm
  • Minutes from 2016-03-08 reviewed
  • PSS review of Meaningful Use Functional Profile for 2015 Edition (US)
    • Gary Dickinson here and reviews project, which is to update the profile according to 2015 EHR System Certification requirements. Is US specific because it is based on meaningful use. Goal to go straight to normative in September.
      • MOTION to approve by Johnathan; Calvin seconds.
      • VOTE: all in favor
  • ONC interoperability proving ground and ONC engagement at upcoming HL7 meetings:
    • Johnathan reports that the proving ground is a part of ONC's new tech lab approach. It's a way to register/record/track/search all of the different ONC-related projects that are in pilot phase. S&I framework is being sunsetted but the existing projects will continue to move forward with more flexibility. Less focus on working on new standards; more focus on problem-solving. More info is available on the proving ground website.
    • Limited participation from ONC in Montreal but several will attend; the problem is international travel for US employees.
    • Johnathan mentions FHIR consent/provenance. There is a non S&I project called Patient Choice that is looking at different standards and capabilities for expressing patient consent as well as consent for research and more granular types of consent. First round of use cases have been developed and will be presented this afternoon. May be of interest to folks working on consent standards.
  • Adjourned at 1:17 pm Eastern
