- SAIF Canonical
- Charlie: Several people were passionate about the missing part: How to do you go from the cannonical to an actual representaton.
- Steve and Andy had specific notions about topics missing that needed to be more explicit.
- We need to meet this schedule, if possible:
- June 30, Content available for review by ArB during telcon.
- July 3 (Sunday) Editors documents ready – Tony will paste together this initial load
- July 4-23 – massaging the content.
- July 24 (Sunday) Final Content Deadline
- August 1 (Monday) Provisional Ballot Opening
- Charlie: I am happy to start editing.
- Steve: Send out the outline, flagging the areas where other people are writing. Give some fednback on what should be changed.
- Charlie: The biggest piece, there were specific things from Wendell and John. Cecil, will you begin re-writing, do you have an understanding?
- Cecil: You have to back it out a level, and go through each of the sections, define canonically, then sequence together.
- Charlie: Removing HL7
- Cecil: At a canonical level, so there cant be people saying it needs to be more HL7 specific.
- Charlie: I will start writing, take the outline, put in word, and send to the list often, at least once a week
- So we can show progress
- So people can read and comment, so people will know what the content is. Ann will buff things up, as a tecnical editor.
- There is a SOA in healthcare in DC, July 15 or so. Thomas Erle is giving the keynote - he has seen the first version, and will not reference until published. We have to wrap the version 1 in additional conformance statements (how do we know an IG is conformant).
- Steve: That is pretty optimistic.
- Charlie: Depends on the content. July 24 is possible. We can split version 1 from DSTU.
- Steve: In our discussions, we said the glossary is online, with only an index in the book.
- Charlie: If we take the glossary, we need to merge with Publishing.
- Steve: Only put index in document. Glossary was repeating concepts.
- Charlie: We use the SOA glossary all the time.
- Steve: Could Ann look at the current, and if their are guidelines it would be helpful. Initially Andy and I were to help you. Do we want to coordinate?
- Charlie: Which parts of the outline will you work on?
- Steve: Charlie was to do foundation principles - you had asked some questions -
- What is canonical
- How do you operationalize the IG
- Charlie: I will send a note to John and Wendell. Cecil is on board for IF, I will ask Jane for re-writes to the GF. I will rewrite the ECCF. We have two weeks, and should be on our way by next week. I will try to send something to Steve and Andy.
- Steve: I dont see the IG, and what goes into it (including the matrix)- where do you see that?
- Charlie: That is part of what John and Wendell were to address.
- Steve: If they dont do that, I would be willing.
- Charlie: I will send an e-mail.
