Objectives

CIMI objectives are to empowers Clinicians, Analysts, Users, Developers, Venders, Implementers and Testers with healthcare:

  • data, applications, reports, alerts, protocols, and decision support modules shareable with anyone in the world
  • Clinical Knowledge Management (CHM) library of Clinical Logical Information Models (CLIM) supporting consistent HL7 FHIR and V3 CDA/C-CDA extensions and profiles.
    • Free to use
  • “plug-n-play” components with computable-interoperability for
    • electronic health records
      • information exchange sharing
      • population based medicine
      • clinical decision support
    • business intelligence and research
  • seamless integration of information models and tools
    • clear, complete, concise, correct, consistent, computable and traceable interoperability specifications
  • seamless software development lifecycle processes
    • efficient, effective, low-cost and easy-to-use.
  • SNOMED extension for LOINC and RxNorm (SOLOR)
  • Collaborate with other interested organizations
    • HSPC
    • OMG
    • OpenGroup

Roadmap
