Agenda

Review Minutes of May 27, 2009

Rob/Austin 3-0-0

Handling Negative Ballot Contents

Don described the [sent on May 28] which was not about any specific issues raised durint the last ballot cycle but rather a categorization of issues.

The group discussed whether it was warranted to make a formal recommendation to the GOC or to forward comments. Austin suggested that recommending we only accept ballot comments in the spreadsheet format (point 1) could be communicated to the GOC. Disallowing ballot comments due to missing referenced comments (point 2) may be best addressed on a work group by work group basis.

The group was unsure how to proceed to the GOC? Andy would discuss with Woody offline.

Distance Learning Question

Andy raised the question Virginia Lorenzo had posted to the list.

Austin commented that Lynn Laasko is working on a product catalogue. Additionally, the introduction to balloting may be useful.

Austin wondered how granular the catalogue would be and stated that the TSC is also looking at this issue.

Tools for Attribute Edits

There was no further update from Gregg on progress.

Austin commented that, when he has had to do such activities in the past, he generally uses the RMIM designer. He also commented that fully documenting the DMIMcan make the process easier. He noted that at most he had to do updates on 10-15 RMIMs, whereas Gregg has 40 to 50.
