You may be aware that HL7 has been working with a team of consultants over the last year on the strategic initiative project, undertaken with the support of the Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Foundation to improve the efficiency of the HL7 standards development process. As a result, a number of changes to our organizational structure, operations, and policies/procedures have been suggested to improve our efficiency and enable the organization to respond quickly to the needs of the healthcare community for coherent and timely informatics standards.

For details, see the Strategic Initiative page on the HL7 Website. See Recommendations by RWJ. The transition project team can be reached at Transition@hl7.org

The T3F, which was part of the transition effort created to establish a revised structure for the Technical Steering Committee completed its work. The resulting changes are documented on the TSC Wiki
