The Quality Reporting Document Architecture (QRDA) team is dedicated to develop and support a standard for quality reporting. The standard will conform to the requirements of the Health Level Seven (HL7) Clinical Document Architecture Release 2.0 (CDA) and will reuse the templates developed for the ASTM/HL7 Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and other CDA implementation guides.

The Child Health Corporation of America is exploring the collection of quality measure data directly from Owner Hospital electronic medical record systems. As such, it is interested in the use of data standards to reduce the technical resources that would be required from CHCA and its Owner Hospitals to support an ongoing program of measure data collection. Through this project, CHCA will support the HL7 Pediatric Data Standards Special Interest Group and others in developing a draft standard for reporting quality measure data.
