Scope of coverage
Diet and Nutrition information for Humans across All Healthcare Disciplines in All Care Settings and All Regions. Diet and Nutrition resource covers information needed for ordering general and therapeutic diets including enteral nutrition(tube feedings) and nutritional supplements which govern the distribution of food and nutritional products used to feed patients in all healthcare settings. These nutrition orders (typically required for in-patient settings) or recommendations are combined with information on a patient's food allergies and intolerances, and ethnic or cultural food preferences to inform healthcare personnel about the type, texture, and/or quantity of foods that the patient should receive or consume.
