Minutes

  • Meeting started at 12:02ET, Dave Pyke Chairing
  • Johnathan presented about his talk in the West Wing (Scott Leddell, ONC Director, ONC CIO, etc.) about Sharing with Protections, and the work that CBCP and HL7 in general has done regarding SLS, Consent, DS4P and other projects that allows for exchange of data with patient control. This was seen to be not a blocker but a way of ensuring data can be done securely and correctly. This would require the "turning on" of optional features to ensure this happens well. Johnathan believed this was well received.
    • SLS may be used as access not data protection points
    • This talk was to open the discussion that there are standards and they need to be used as they're not that far out of reach.
    • The Administrator for CMS just made a talk and said "Privacy and Security of patient data will be front and center of the CMS' work" Link to Transcript
  • Consent -- meetings on hold until after the Normative ballot
    • Changes and comments welcome and will be presented at the CBCP meeting as needed.
  • SPDAM moving forward with conceptual model. Discussed and presented the various models. This is a child of PASS ACS with limited models. Currently two information models that are part of the ballot:
    • A Trust Federation Model:
    • Information model for the Trust Framework
      • Trust framework: Trust happens before access happens. Models bring in governance, organization and subject of care policies.
      • Information model for the basic framework used with in the Trust Framework
    • A behavioural model: Only mior updates. The plan is to have the conceptual model and the behavioural level. Received fewer comments on the Behavioural model
  • Move to Adjourn at 12:43 ET by Jim Kretz
