Review of Minutes of last call

• Amend FHIR fundamentals – lower rates for lower and middle income countries
• Otherwise approved

Education Strategy

• Reviewed Sadhana's strategy slides
• She noted that is was presented to board executive committee and then to the board. Then accepted it.
• Reviewing costs on onsite training to make discounts for multiple days of training
• Subscription price being considered

Committee discussed the need for marketing

• Increasing marketing including buying Hoover list.
• Want to promote via twitter
• FHIR fundamentals course is this summer – we need people to take the class – student rate, members’ rate, group rate.
  • Sadhana requested help getting the word out to students - Virginia and Caroline agreed to help
  • John suggested telling schools around Baltimore about the FHIR fundamentals. It would be a way for them to prepare for the Baltimore WGM. Then tell them to go to Baltimore.
• Also need to promote FHIR Certification
  • committee discussed the following ideas:FHIR core team and other fhir experts and standards developers should be certified – encourage them to do that and then market who has already been certified so that people want it to. This will also help see fhir certification as related to obtaining fhir expertise.

September tutorial grid and description update

• Julia needs to provide a description for CQL class. Diego liked what Caroline did with FHIR Experience.

Education Calendar

• Need to market V2 training/poor turnout. Virginia teaching the V2 certification course.
• Sadhana reported there are numerous FHIR online classes going on – live in July and then on demand.
• Look at calendar and consider how to market courses on it
