Prepare to Test Application

• Acquire Test Plan - Nov. 4

• Make arrangements for tracking HL7 testers on OHT project trackers - Nov. 26
• Work out how to provide feedback and what needs to be resolved by the OHT project and what the Tooling WG will need to resolve - Nov. 26
• Get access to software - Nov. 30
• Determine technical requirements to install full package - Nov. 26
• Acquire NHS documentation for installing and running SMD for NHS testers - Nov. 19
• Enhance documentation to assist testers to install package on different platforms - Nov. 26

Perform Testing

• Register HL7 testing and assign HL7 tests
• Compare functionality with current tooling functionality and identify gaps
• Identify whether gaps are bugs or missing capability or methodology issues
• Prioritize fixes - identify which will be undertaken by the project and which to include in enhancement before deployment
• Estimate effort to enhance before deployment

Evaluate Documentation

• Examine documentation to determine if it is suitable to be able to support first time HL7 users.
• Identify what documentation will be needed to distribute with HL7 users.
• Estimate effort to enhance documentation before deployment

Prepare training plan

• Identify topics needed for migration training
• Identify sources of content for topics
• Estimate effort to produce training material

Prepare conversion plan

• Evaluate difficulty to convert existing models to be used by SMD.
• Determine approach for conversion
• Determine skillsets needed for conversion
• Estimate effort for conversion

Prepare communication plan

• Determine which groups need what kind of communication using what channels
• Determine skillsets needed for communication preparation
• Prepare estimate to create appropriate communication material for each audience
• Identify existing ballot documentation that will require revision
• Prepare estimate to revise ballot documentation

Prepare to acquire suitable resources to support migration

• Prepare formal plan and estimate
