Instructions

An update has been made to the "Representation of the Health Quality Measures Format (eMeasure), DSTU Release 2" as a point released titled "Representation of the Health Quality Measures Format (eMeasure), DSTU Release 2.1". This update is available to HL7 members as a redlined document here (see "HQMF R2.1 Redlined"). As a minor DSTU update, this new version will not go through the usual HL7 balloting process but will use the DSTU Update process with industry review on the HL7 wiki.

The full list of changes in this release is documented in the update and can be summarized as:

  1. Addition of metadata to reference the source(s) of composite measures
  2. Higher fidelity identification of items to count in episode of care measures
  3. Addition of metadata to reference other related external documents. This capability is expected to be used by subsequent implementation guides that will address use of harmonized CQM/CDS standards with HQMF.
