HL7 Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) Involvement

The Security WG regularly responds to international and US realm policy considerations related to Security, Privacy, Trust, and Provenance in collaboration with the CBCC WG. Security Cochair, Kathleen Connor is the liaison with the PAC. Below are some recent PAC activities under consideration to be briefed to the WGs for input. In the past, the WGs have regularly provided input on the ONC Interoperability Standards Advisory and ONC Interoperability Roadmap. That input is incorporated into HL7 Executive Board correspondence with ONC. In addition, the WGs have provided input into HL7 comments to other Federal agencies, NGOS, and international organizations.
