* My suggestion is to explore  developing webinars around solving a specific problem or achieving a specific result that people want.  Many  people probably think that webinars on V2 or CDA are kind of boring  (unless you are a standards geek). Sharon and I have talked with some folks about improving the webinars by making them more interactive, but I’m also wondering if creating them around solving a problem would also help. So, as an example, we might create a webinar around  reducing hospital readmissions by using HL7’s ADT messaging . A few weeks ago, we were getting tons of questions from people about how to create whatever files they needed to create for MU (for which they were purchasing OIDs) and then how to submit their file to the local public health department. If we had offered a webinar around that problem, or even if we had offered a webinar around how to create an OID, we would have had several participants! So maybe we should start thinking about the problems our implementers have and how we can craft webinars that help them solve those particular problems or achieve needed results. In the case of OIDs, part of this is anticipating what is coming up.

Wish List for Educational Offerings

2015 Ideas
