- CIM – Constrained information model: An information model constructed to represent the concepts in a problem domain in a form in which every feature is assigned to a corresponding feature in the HL7 Reference Information Model
- DCM – Detailed Clinical Model: an information model of a discrete set of precise clinical knowledge which can be used in a variety of contexts.
- DAM – Domain Analysis Model: An information model constructed to represent the concepts in a problem domain in a form most closely matching the domain as understood by subject matter experts
