The group discussed the current langauge of the Charter. Lisa plans to write language delineating that the IC TC would be responsible for normative lanague related to conformance; whereas MnM would be responsible for normative language related to the rules for constraint/locallization.  If this notion is not accepted, then responsibility for normative lanague wrt constraint/localization would be given to the IC TC; away from MnM.  Lisa will discuss this with the Implememtation Committee on its next call.

Agenda for May WGM

The May WGM agenda prepared in San Diego will be submitted to HL7 with the addition of having co-chair elections during the first quarter of the Conformance SIG meeting.

Update on Conformance/Implementation merger

The group discussed the current langauge of the Charter. Lisa plans to write language delineating that the IC TC would be responsible for normative language related to conformance; whereas MnM would be responsible for normative language related to the rules for constraint/localization. If this notion is not accepted, then responsibility for normative lanague wrt constraint/localization would be given to the IC TC; away from MnM. Lisa will also ask why responsibility for editing the HDF was added - this is not a responsibility the Conformance SIG had in the past. Lisa will discuss this with the Implememtation Committee on its next call.

What to prepare for V2.7

The group determined that there are no outstanding issues wrt V2.7. The group encourages Rob Snelick to send his ideas for V2.7 proposals to the mailing list prior to submitting formal proposals. This would allow the group to be made aware of any Big Ticket issues and work through them earlier in the process. Frank mentioned the ongoing email thread (on the structured docs list) related to the last field of the QPD segment and its implication for conformance. This issue will be added to the WGM agenda.
