Introduction

The first formal clinician engagement and governance over FHIR resources development started in the Chicago WGM - September 2014. It was then known as "Clinical Connectathon". The objective of that event was to provide clinicians with an opportunity to review and QA the clinical resources through testing the resources against a set of very detail (and relatively complex) clinical scenarios/use cases. It also provided a forum for interactions and exchange of opinions between the clinicians and FHIR technical team.

Large amount of valuable feedbacks were collected since the first event that resulted in significant improvements to the follow-up event in November 2014 in Melbourne, Australia. Participants at these events are very useful and should be repeated.

Post May 2015 Paris WGM, it was decided that this event will be renamed to Clinicians on FHIR

There will be three Clinician-on-FHIR events in 2016.
