But these do not have ReasonCOde nor ActivityTime that are essential attributes for PA.

Include ReasonCode and ActivityTime attributes in Encounter in CS

Recommendation

Rationale

Ongoing harmonization work between Patient Care and Patient Administration has indicated that there is a need to harmonize the Encounter class used in both D-MIMs. For many use cases PC uses the Clinical Statement pattern / CMET for the use of Encounter. But these do not have ReasonCOde nor ActivityTime that are essential attributes for PA.

Discussion

Additional change requests can be expected after the Sept WGM.

Recommended Action Items

Include these two attributes in the Encounter Class with 0..* cardinality
