Issue

Clinical Statement participations not aligned with source models which define the subject domain requirements

Recommendation

• Add receiver Participation associated from Supply Act to R_AssignedEntity CMET
• Add consultant Participation associated from choice to R_AssignedEntity CMET
• Add referrer Participatoin associated from Encounter Act to R_AssignedEntity CMET
• Add directTarget participation associated from Substance Admin Act to R_OrderableMed

• Get all attribute documentation and attribution from CompositeOrder model

Rationale

• Receiver used for supply act to indicate a personnel to receive that supply, only necessary at times
• Consultant(s) used frequently re:specialists
• Referrer used in many outpatient scenario
• directTarget used in Pharmacy for non-consumable medications

• Add receiver Participation associated from Supply Act to R_AssignedEntity CMET
  • description: describes, when necessary, a person who receives delivery of a medication or other supply
  • contextControlCode: follow CS principles
  • noteText: ED [0..1] optional - any notes for (order) or by (event) by the receiver of a dispense or other supply. does not include notes intended for the patient record (use annotations for that)
  • time: IVL<TS> [0..1] optional - requested time (range) of delivery of supply (order) or time of deliver (event)

• Add consultant Participation associated from choice to R_AssignedEntity CMET
  • description: for an order, communicates a request for a consultation on the order. for an event, documents a consultation on the action (usually a result)
  • contextControlCode: follow CS principles
  • functionCode: CS [0..1] optional - further defines the consulting role
  • noteText: ED [0..1] optional - for an order, notes from orderer to consultant. In an event, documents any notes made by the consultant intended as part of the consultation but not part of the patient record. Does not include notes intended for the patient record (use annotations for that)
  • time: IVL<TS> [0..1] optional - requested time (range) of consultation

• Add referrer Participation associated from Encounter Act to R_AssignedEntity CMET
  • description: communicates an outside resource who referred this patient, usually used for outpatient services.
  • contextControlCode: follow CS principles
  • noteText: ED [0..1] optional - any notes from the referrer about that reference. Not to be confused with patient annotations.

• Add directTarget participation associated from Substance Admin Act to R_OrderableMedication CMET
  • description: indicates the medication being ordered or administered. Used in multi-part orders (requisitions).

Resolution

29-Jan-09 Motion to accept receiver and consultant as described. Withdraw referrer and postpone directTarget as part of Rx discussion we need to have. Patrick Loyd, Rob Hausam.
