Back to Clinical Statement Change Requests page.

Submitted by: Austin Kreisler Revision date: <<Revision Date>>
Submitted date: 12/17/2007 Change request ID: CSCR-077

Issue

The Clinical Statement Pattern doesn’t support all the subject participation attributes that public health messaging needs to consider.

Recommendation

  1. Add time, and modeCode to the Subject participation. All these would be optional, with the default data types and cardinality of [0..1].

Rationale

The additional attributes allow us to capture specific data regarding the subjects participation in the related act. For instance if we are documenting a persons participation in an event of interest to public health (perhaps public concert where a biological agent was released), we may want to collect the time the subject arrived and departed the event and how the subject participated (mode).
