      • What is the timeline for the project? The IHE Profiles are ready now and will be issued for public peer review in the next week. The plan is to include the profile in the connectathon in Janaury 2011 and the showcase in February 2011. The project also plans to pilot with vendors in the first or second quarter of 2011.
      • Currently reporting is limited to just point of diagnosis - does this project expect to add reporting trigger events? Yes - that is part of the intent of creating a functional profile to identify appropriate reporting points for direct reporting from the provider's EHR.
      • Beyond the initial release, is there an intent to add genetics to the scope of the project and include genetics information in the report? Yes - whilst this is not part of the initial scope it is anticipated that there will be iterative expansions to the scope of the reporting. It is recognized the value of genetics in assessing tumor characteristics.
    • For more information on the project please refer to the project website at Advancing E-Cancer Reporting and Registry Operations (NPCR-AERRO)
