Meeting Minutes

Approval of May 19, 2015 Meeting Minutes

The minutes for the May 19 WG meeting were unanimously approved.

Privacy and Security Architectural Framework (SOA) - Diana

No meeting held this week due to Memorial Day (U.S. holiday). Diana will call Don Jorgenson this week to speak with him about this effort.

Vocabulary Alignment - Diana

  • At this week's EHR Interoperability WG meeting, project participants discussed the EHR, Security and Provenance terms alignment document that Mike had created, and talked about conducting additional analysis on some of the mappings in that document as well as starting from previous work on use cases. Participants also discussed the very real need to create much better definitions for the EHR Lifecycle vocabulary.

Discussion on FHIR Consent Directive, Contract

  • Contract - written or verbal agreement that is enforceable by law
    • legal departments can review
    • what we're talking about is an electronic contract for this instance of exchange (consent directive)

unless FHIR ... (John M) The community understands that a consent directive is technically a form of a contract -- in general we agree.

DISCUSSION deferred to next FHIR DSTU Ballot

  • write up request w/ CBCC and Security artifacts for the next FHIR DSTU ballot
  • start next discussion when the DSTU goes out
  • clear discussion points need to be stated in the request to avoid continued confusion
