Issue
The details of how updateMode works are reasonably settled. However, there are still some issues. Also, it needs to be decided exactly how this will work in the XML ITS.
XML SIG/INM have this on their Datatypes R2 list: Datatypes R2 Issue 55. From a methodlogy perspective there don't seem to be any open issues.
Resolution:
Doesn't seem to be an issue here. Dealt with by HDF. Closed 2007-04-29
