Meeting Minutes
Approval of March 24 Meeting Minutes
The minutes from the March 24, 2015 meeting were unanimously approved.
FHIM S&P Modeling Project - update
- There were some comments on the Privacy and Security Architecture Framework (PSAF) that Kathleen addressed and, in so doing, made sure that the final PSAF was approved.
FHIR Consent Directive - update
- A PowerPoint is available on the CBCC WG wiki that shows all the examples of laws and international affiliate input on consent directives, including online consent forms.
- This PowerPoint also includes comments on the idea that data segmentation for privacy technology and consent technology are ready to move forward.
- Efforts are ongoing to develop a nationwide basic consent directive where an HIE is doing aggregation and query response. Another consent directive under development would harmonize the sensitive condition laws across the nation and would be able to be used by an access control service to do data segmentation for privacy.
Vocabulary Alignment Project - update
- The project team is continuing to look at Mike's spreadsheet that maps the EHR, Security and W3C Provenance terms, and are mapping terms from the viewpoint of each domain (EHR, Security and Provenance).
- Reed drafted a preliminary use case and is looking for feedback on that use case to move forward with it and to discover how the vocabulary would be used within it.
- In the course of doing the mapping, the project team is learning how the vocabulary is used and what it means, and also how the different terms from the different domains relate to each other. The terms can be very viewpoint specific or very context specific.
- Diana has begun a more in-depth analysis of the different terms that have been mapped.
Meeting adjourned at 1239 PDT
