TermInfo – Implementation Guide for Using SNOMED CT and LOINC Terminologies in HL7 Information Models
The new and expanded project officially began at the January 2012 WGM in San Antonio. The intent is to develop material for DSTU followed by normative ballot to address issues of overlap between the terminology and information models.
Download Terminfo Project Scope Statement
The links below are to the content from the previous DSTU standard (expired May 2009), which will serve as the starting point for our new work:
- Using SNOMED CT in HL7 Version 3; Implementation Guide, Release 1.5
- May 2009 TermInfo DSTU Ballot Reconciliation Package
- Work on ballot reconciliation for the May 2009 DSTU was dropped for various reasons later in 2009 and was not completed. Following the launch of the new project in January 2012, this reconciliation work was re-started and was finally completed in May 2013 at the Atlanta WGM.

TermInfo 1.5 DSTU - Update Project (archive)
TermInfo January 2014 5th DSTU Ballot Updates
This section of the wiki contains the content of the TermInfo January 2014 5th DSTU Ballot, broken into individual word documents. There is one document per chapter of the TOC. These files will be used to facilitate incorporation of the Jan. 2014 ballot comment resolutions into the final DSTU version that is being prepared for official HL7 and IHTSDO publication.
We are using a Google Docs spreadsheet for tracking the DSTU updates as they are being made to apply the ballot comment resolutions.
This is the final January 2014 balloted version (in Word format) of the TermInfo DSTU draft document (the source of the individual sections below):

=== Pre-Publication Punchlist:
Make sure we replaced "vocabulary domain" with "concept domain" - does this apply to entries in the glossary, too????
Fix the styles and headings for text - done EXCEPT lower heading in Appendices = Need to learn how to add a style!
