Discussion on DAM

Begin review of the DAM document. Editing by Elaine, Michael and Stephen. Contsys – Jay has a draft but it is on process. Analysis indicates no conflict, and will probably not require additional concepts. Definition of health concern – used as a tracker. Contsys was started through NHS, but is now an ISO project.

We will fill in the comparison table with the ISO/CEN equivalent definitions. Review of document – discussion of graphics. Recommend replacing the mind map with the class map from Jay.

Are goals/interventions part of a health concern? The model will contain all of the concepts from the mind map. A Health Concern is not the same as the Health Concern Event. Use Figure 3 instead of Figure 1 (allergy) as a graphic.

Tracking vs. Tracker – Tracking is the activity, tracker is the technical construct to link events together. Stephen has added a graphic – Harmonizing Clinical and Information Management (Technical) Perspectives. Can we model the technology at this point? Can model the name, the intervention etc. – does the tracker ID go beyond the pattern of compatability with the RIM? Does a tracker ID assert a technical solution?

  • Actions: Michael – will update the document and then send to Stephen, and then Jay can work on modeling.
