Review of mind map concepts
Review of mind map concepts – health concern vs. concern tracking. Stephen provided a review of the various discussions related to health concern. The mapping of health concern in the C-CDA to FHIR created an e-mailstrom. Larry McKnight an early member of the original health concern topic joined the discussion. There is another concept “concern event”. There are a number of observations that contribute to the overall health concern picture. Based on these two changes, Stephen revised the mind map. A Health Concern Event – a series of observations e.g. risks. These may create interventions, and health goals, and determine if these goals are met. To track these interrelated events you have the health concern threads.
The events represent the various activities related to tracking the health concern. Does the Health Concern represent the Health Concern Thread and the Health Concern Event?
Need a definition for Health Concern Thread.
The Monitoring Plan may need a different relationship to health concern event (arrow relationship).
What is the difference between a health concern and a problem or a risk. The definition : “ A Health Concern is a health related matter that is of interest, importance or worry to someone, who may be the patient, patient's family or patient's health care provider”. Note that various health events – do you need a condition first? That is the health concern event itself defines the condition. Do we want to link concepts?
The concept of the health concern event – what is the relationship of one event to another?
Need to add the declaration of a condition as a precursor of the health condition itself, prior to tracking events. Add a declaration of the topic condition connected to a health condition. (Stephen will do this).
Use case of Problem concerns in Netherlands
Michael discussed how problems/concerns are treated in the Netherlands. An episode list is the same as a problem list.
Is an episode the same as a health concern event? Bundling the episodes is like a health concern thread. A discussion of episode vs. concern ensued.
