Minutes/Conclusions Reached:

FHIR Scheduling Resource
Having reviewed most of the FHIR scheduling resources, the WG continued with the remaining one resource that had not been covered: AppointmentResponse.
Appointment response. Each appointment request would have a specific AppointmentResponse. So each participant in an appointment would accept or decline, maybe provide comments, etc., separately for the appointment request.
The workgroup continued to discuss the resources and attributes as defined. The discussion continued into the appointment response resource. This resource would be used by the participants (which can be multiple in one appointment) to return responses. The topic then focused on whether there should be an appointment request resource separate from the appointment resource which seems to be more aligned with what is done today in other standards.
More and more there seems to be at least 2 methods of “scheduling”. One which is more along the lines of publishing a need for an appointment and awaiting for all included invitees to accept or decline and another in which a proposed date/time (or date/time range) is presented and all available slots for all invitees, or resources, is displayed for final validation of the schedule by the patient or scheduler.

After much discussion, it was clear that we would have to discuss this further.
Next Steps:
Adjourned: 1:05 PM PST.
