ER7 ITS
The ER7 ITS (which doesn't exist right now) is an ITS for HL7 v3 based on the HL7 v2 encoding rules (vertical bar syntax).
An attempt to create one has been made a couple of years back. ER7 is however rather limited as a syntax, a v3 ER7 encoding wouldn't be as simple as the HL7 v2 ER7 syntax.. therefore the use of ER7 does probably NOT have the advantage that existing tools/parsers can be reused.
