Agenda

  1. guide progress
  2. training
  3. HL7 Meeting
  4. AOB

Minutes

  1. Guide is content complete, hoping to publish by the 30th
    1. importing vocabulary
    2. displaying examples
    3. proofing
  2. licensing
    1. Umbrella membership is Benefactor (~25k/yr) plus members, not instead. Best bet: have implementers buy the $50 guide.
    2. Confirm: any other assets needed for implementers
    3. Confirm: buy it once; we can update on Gforge when necessary
  3. DSTU Implementer Training
    1. Planning 2-day session: one background suitable for managers, one detail for hands-on programmers
      1. May need to shorten to 1.5 for cost reasons. Possibly with webinar follow up
    2. Sourcing technical resource to assist. If necessary, NEMSIS may provide java programmer (would need orientation)
    3. Location: many participants; centrality may be key
    4. Jay to send Clay course outline to share with vendor community
  4. HL7 Meeting
    1. If we're training in September, no point in meeting until January
    2. Jay to notify Anita
  5. ICD-10
    1. NEMSIS does have recommended short lists.
      1. We'll publish those in the next release, as CWE; the pattern will be required.
      2. For now, the system constraint will do
  6. GCS
    1. Better to have a second GCS question to provide pediatric guidance at the cost of unified semantics, or to use the original code without standardizing that pediatric guidance?
    2. Jaci to raise with Dan and Clem
  7. OIDS
    1. No, LOINC does not assign OIDs to value sets, though they will record OIDs assigned by others
