LIM (Local Information Model)

LIM (Local Information Model) are comparable to CIMs, in that they are serializable, implementable models. Because there are no strict guidelines on the design of LIMs, they can be based on the RIM, DIMs, CIMs or other LIMs. LIMs are principally intended to be used as templates, but can be applied to any purpose that calls for specification of constrained [http:\\www.hl7.org | HL7]] models.
