Eve Everywoman, a 27-year-old female, needs a narrative for this use case.

Business Process

Reports may be withdrawn at any time if the laboratory discovers an error in the work that was done for some reason. Withdrawal implies a somewhat active process, hunting down any existing copies of an erroneous report and speaking to anyone who may have made clinical decisions based on the report – though this is not always possible. After an error is corrected (if possible), a corrected report may be issued – this is considered to be an amended report. Discussion point: withdrawn reports are an Australian concept.

In the US, Labs do not ‘withdraw’ lab results. For clinical lab – result is corrected. For pathology – result report is amended. If we want to talk about withdrawn reports, then create a storyboard to illustrate and introduce the concept before discussing.
