Back to Clinical Statement Change Requests page.

Issue
According to the RIM definition of the data entry person (ENT) participation type code, this must be a person entering the data. Clinical Statement uses the R_AssignedEntity CMET to be the data enterer, which allows persons, organizations or devices to be data enterer.
Recommendation
Change the DataEnterer participation from ENT to TRANS (transcriber). ENT is a child of TRANS, and transcriber allows any entity to transcribe, not just persons.
Rationale
This approach retains backward compatibility and makes Clinical Statement conformant with the RIM.
