RIMBAA: Atlas Development

Atlas has developed a RIM derived database and middle tier applications used in Public Health (multiple counties in California; Wisconsin state and its counties). We have implemented the entire RIM in a SQL Server database with a VB.Net middle tier that supports disease surveillance and case managment activities.
We designed our DB along the lines of a modified option 2, which is one table per class, but flattenned so there is only a 2 level hierarchy.
